The hotel congress of the German Hotel Association (IHA) started in Berlin on Monday as a sign of a new beginning. Around 200 participants came together at the Mercure Hotel MOA in Berlin to discuss current challenges, learning material, success factors and future strategies against the background of the pandemic. The focus of the forum of the hotel industry on Tuesday are questions and answers on the economic perspectives of the industry, the opportunities and risks of digitization as well as successful human resource concepts, which is currently the most pressing topic in the industry.
Our tried-and-tested NOVA concept, which ensured safety at this event, was also there. The event management was accompanied by the NOVA app, so that every participant had to register in advance so that they could take part in the event contactless and without additional documents on the day of the event. In addition to the NOVA app, our hygiene stations were also used, which were able to identify the participants on site 100% with the previous registration using facial recognition and temperature cameras, so that no unwanted guests were allowed in. In addition, the vaccination certificate was stored in the NOVA app, which our hygiene station also queried. All this in just a few seconds.
As expected, the event could be held without incident and the more than 200 participants not only entered the congress healthy, but also left it. True to our motto #safelythere, we are happy about the successful event with the IHA and are already looking forward to the next event with NOVA.
